The Fortress of Kuelap, Perú
The Kuelap Fortress, located in the district of Tingo, Luya Province in Chachapoyas in the department of Amazonas, Peru, is an archaeological site discovered in 1843 by Don Juan Nieto Chrysostom, who was judge of the province. Many researchers and travelers have been lured from year because of the complexity and monumentality of his buildings.
It has an area of approximately 450 hectares and consists of terraced cultivation, settlements, access control, stores and public squares.
